UNOMIG's Medical Team

Three medical teams, provided by the German Armed Forces, are based in Sukhumi, Gali and Zugdidi. They provide medical treatment for UNOMIG personnel, medical training, and medical evacuation and vaccination for military observers. In addition to this, they provide first response medical aid to the local population and transport critically ill local patients to the Zugdidi or Sukhumi hospitals when required.
